Now in its third annual year, Posse on Broadway brings live music and top DJ’s to the streets and venues of Downtown Santa Ana. A block party featuring 6 venues, 6 events, every 3rd Saturday of the summer June 19, July 17 & August 21.

June 19 Posse presents a FREE outdoor concert with LA folk outfit THE WATSON TWINS and local singer songwriter Barrett Johnson from 6-9pm on the 2nd Street Promenade. Directly following the concert, Proof Bar, Memphis Santora, The Crosby, Gypsy Den and Lola Gaspar host live music, DJ’s and food and drink specials until the last call.

Rumba Lounge brings big live Salsa music to downtown Santa Ana every month with different guest artists in each edition including Timba 6, a 10-piece combo who puts together a show that is not just energetic but plain powerful and fun, a great band indeed. Alternating with the live band is DJ Edgar G spinning the best of Latin sounds, blasting the speakers when the  occasional clientele is hitting the dance floor. But do not let the name “Rumba” fool you; they also play Hip Hop, Merengue, Vallenato, Reggaeton and Cumbia among other danceable tunes. Be ready! Dress too impress and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

The place is nice and cozy and the nightclub setting is grand transforming Jason’s Downtown Restaurant completely with some portable lighting, fog machines and cool lasers. “Rumba Lounge uniqueness” on own Michael Martinez words the nightclub promoter “is that for a $10 cover you get full live music, get to mingle with chic young people so definitely this is a hype place for a rich diverse Latino community and people who loves them”.
